CMU Announces Retirement Plan Enhancements from TIAA-CREF

Central Michigan University has worked closely with TIAA-CREF to bring some exciting enhancements to your retirement plan. You now have available to you 32 additional investment choices including TIAA-CREF Lifecycle Funds; personalized advice and planning services and soon we will have a dedicated TIAA-CREF website putting your CMU retirement savings plan information at your fingertips.  You may begin to utilize these new investment choices at any time.

Prescription Drug Formulary Update – Coreg Tablets The Benefits and Wellness office was recently informed by Express Scripts of the upcoming removal of the brand drug Coreg tablets from the formulary effective November 1, 2007. This action is being taken because the generic alternative, carvedilol tablets, is now established in the marketplace. Please note that generics for Coreg CR, the extended release version of Coreg, are not available at this time, and that Coreg CR's status as a non-formulary brand drug will remain the same.

Prescription Drug Formulary Update - Zofran

The Benefits and Wellness office was recently informed by Express Scripts of the upcoming removal of the brand drug Zofran from the formulary. Effective April 1, 2007, Express Scripts will remove Zofran from the formulary now that a generic version of Zofran (ondansetron) tablets, orally disintegrating tablets and oral solution are established in the marketplace.

Wellness

The Employee Health and Wellness Survey Summary is now available for review. The results of this electronic, campus-wide survey conducted by Human Resources in October 2004 will help drive future wellness programming.
