Effective June 2, 1997, temporary and relief staff employees will no longer be eligible to receive holiday pay. This means they will not be eligible for pay for either legal holidays or additional holidays regardless of the duration of their appointment. This change is a result of a review of the market and recognizes that temporary employees are generally not eligible for benefits. Please note however, that provisional staff employees will continue to be eligible for holiday pay.
