The CMU-STARS Program
The CMU-STARS (Specially Trained And Ready for Success) program was created to assist CMU employees in reaching their full potential in their careers and their overall life. STARS consist of seven core classes and a variety of electives that are centered on the Wellness Wheel. To Complete the STARS program, each participant must take all the seven core classes and one elective course from each of the six Wellness Wheel dimensions. A CMU employee will become one of the elite STARS by completing the full program. Participants will also be recognized if they finish either half of the series. For example, if an employee completes only the Wellness Wheel electives they will be recognized for becoming a super nova (balanced professional); if an employee completes only the core classes they will be recognized for being a shimmering galaxy (valuable community member). Employees can fulfill the requirements in segments or work to complete them as soon as possible. The program can be completed in one to three years to allow employees to fit the sessions into their schedule. Because of this program, CMU employees can be on their way to become one of the STARS. Take part in this interactive program aimed at continuous personal and professional improvement. All employees will sparkle by taking just one class, finishing the Wellness Wheel, completing the core classes, or doing it all to become one of CMU's professionals who are Specially Trained And Ready for Success.
